Launching in 2027 · The Launch Team
Help us
build Selah.
The launch team is the group of people who pray, serve, give, and gather to get Selah ready to open its doors. No experience needed. Just a yes.
Why join now
You only get
one beginning.
A church is only planted once. The people who say yes in this season will shape Selah for years to come.
Be part of the start
Most people walk into a church that already exists. You get to help build one, and shape what it becomes.
Find your people
The launch team becomes family. You’ll pray, serve, and share meals with people who want the same thing you do.
Use your gifts
Whether you’re great with kids, music, hospitality, or setup, there’s a real place for you here.
See God move
You’ll be up close as people across San Diego meet Jesus, many of them for the first time.
What it means to join
Five simple
commitments.
Gather
Come to Selah Nights and launch team gatherings as often as you can.
Pray
Join The War Room on Tuesdays and pray for Selah during the week.
Serve
Join one team and help it get ready for our first gatherings.
Give
Support the Launch Fund or become a Founding Partner, as you’re able.
Invite
Bring friends and neighbors along. Every church grows one invitation at a time.
Find your place
The teams we’re
building.
Selah Kids
Create a safe, joyful space where kids learn about Jesus. Every kids volunteer completes a background check and safety training.
Welcome & Hospitality
Be the first smile people see. Greet guests, serve coffee, and help newcomers feel at home.
Worship & Production
Lead worship or run sound, slides, and lights so everyone can engage.
Setup & Teardown
Turn a school into a church each week. If you like to work with your hands, this is your team.
Prayer
Lead and cover every part of Selah in prayer, before, during, and after we gather.
Outreach
Help Selah love San Diego through serve days, partnerships, and meeting real needs.
The road to launch
Where we are
and where we’re going.
Gather & pray
We’re building relationships, hosting Selah Nights, and praying together every week.
Build & train
Teams form, train, and practice so we’re ready to welcome people well.
Launch
Selah begins gathering publicly and opens its doors to San Diego.
Questions
Good to
know.
Do I need experience?
No. We’ll train you for whatever team you join. Bring a willing heart and we’ll take it from there.
How much time does it take?
Plan on a few gatherings each month plus time with your team. Pastor Edwin will walk you through the details.
I’m still exploring faith. Can I come?
Absolutely. Our events are open to everyone. Grab coffee with Edwin and we’ll help you find the right next step.
I already attend another church.
We’d love to talk. Pray about it, talk with your current pastor, and have a conversation with Edwin.
Ready to
say yes?
Fill out a short form and Pastor Edwin will reach out personally within a few days.
